We use serum or plasma to detect antibodies to the major surface antigens of Sarcocystis neurona, including SAG1, 5, and 6 by ELISA. The test result is reported as a titer, the titer allows monitoring of the response to infection and can provide an end point to treatment. We also test serum or plasma using a serum neutralization assay to detect protective antibodies to several species of sarcocystis, including S. neurona strains that display SAG 1, SAG 5, S. neurona SAG 6, S. falcatula in horses, dogs, cats, sea lions, baboons, and cats. Please use the ELISA form posted on this site to accompany your sample.
Recombinant protein SAG 1, 5, or 6. Protein is delivered as a 1-2 mG/mG solution in 50mM Tris-HCL, 20% glycerol, pH 8 or requested buffer. The protein is sold in 1mG aliquots. Shipped on dry ice.
This assay detects toxins derived from plants, bacteria, or chemicals in serum. This assay is investigational and there is no charge for the submission of the serum or the interpretaion of the results. Any data gathered from this assay will be included in grant material. Submission form
Serum or plasma is used in our C. parvum bioassay to detect neutralizing antibodies. This test is reported as a titer and can be used to detect protective antibodies or used in the development of vaccines. We also offer monoclonal antibodies against the merozoite stage of C. parvum and can produce C. parvum antigens for your research or animal vaccination.
We offer:
Production of polyclonal antibodies
Production of monoclonal antibodies for in vitro testing
Identify, clone and express genes from your organism
Protein analysis using single or two dimensional PAGE
Develop ELISA tests
Assay development for USDA licensed testing
Isolate and grow intracellular pathogens
Develop animal models for vaccine and drug therapies.
